Transportation and distribution of electricity were used by paralleling several large sized cables. In order to support these cables in the buildings, there are numerous amounts of cable trays, cable ladders, under floor cable trays, etc. There are different applications of cables, such as attaching cables to cable channels, branching, connecting and calculating the distances between cables to establish heat dissipation, adjusting lengths etc. This requires skilled workers, more time and effort, which equates to more money spent. In order to eliminate all of the above disadvantages, modern BUSBAR SYSTEMS are developed. Since 1973 EAE manufactures E-LINE busbar systems from 25A up to 6300A in order to convert the above mentioned disadvantages to advantages.

Why EAE?

Busbars can be utilized in any kind of building due to its modular structure. Busbar trunking systems have the advantage of expansion, route change, replacement, and its capability to be re-used in the future. According to future requirements, the design of the busbar system can be modified easily as well as fully or partially relocated to other locations.

During the design stage of a facility, busbar Systems reduce the number of cable trays, distribution boards, dimensions of principal panel boards, MCBs, and MCCBs in panel boards and eliminate all the accessories of cable Systems.

The Installation time is considerably shorter than conventional cable systems. This provides lower labour and installation costs, therefore increases time management.

SAFETY
  • EAE tap-off boxes are able to supply any brand of wall boxes easily without any additional systems and mechanisms.
  • All outgoing cables with suitable plugs are protected by breakers equipped in EAE tap-off boxes.
  • EAE tap-off boxes are mechanically and electrically interlocked with the busway housing to prevent fixing or removal of EAE tap-off boxes while the switch is in the ON position.
  • EAE tap-off boxes can be equipped with an operating handle that always remains in control of the switching mechanism.
  • EAE tap-off boxes are lockable with a padlock (only authorized personnel from the maintenance team will be able to open EAE tap-off boxes).

  • It’s easy, economic, and safe to get the power from the EAE Busbar line with EAE tap-off boxes where they are required. The number of tap-off boxes can be increased safely on plug in points. The location of these EAE tap-off boxes can be easily changed according to future needs.
  • Busbar systems do not burn, are flameless and do not generate and propagate the poisonous (halogen, etc.) gas in case of a fire.
  • Busbars can not be gnawed and damaged by rats, bugs, etc. as the housing is made of metal.

CANOPY SOLUTIONS
  • EAE has its own canopy solution to provide additional protection around the busbars.
  • The canopy system can also be manufactured by customers in coordination with EAE and their architects to maintain visual harmony in facilities or buildings buildings.
  • EAE LV power busbars are IP55, besides IP68 LV cast resin busbars are available too. These IP 55 & 65 levels are suitable for indoor applications.
  • For outdoor applications, IP 68 Cast resin busbar is available with IP 65 tap-off boxes.
  • IP67 busbar type is also available for Partial protection with a suitable Canopy in order to protect the busbar systems against human or animal intervention and atmospheric conditions like UV, sunlight, rain, and dust.

Conductive materials forms a magnetic field when electric current flows through them. Magnetic field is related to magnitude of current, distance between conductors and conductor body. In cases where low EMC values are mandatory (health centres, offices, data centres etc.), it is of utmost importance to minimize the magnetic induction value. Busbar systems with their aluminium or sheet metal bodies, compact structures and the configuration of the conductors in the housing significantly assist in the reduction of electromagnetic fields. EMC measurements manufactured on custom designed EAE Busbar systems proved that using aluminium housings decreases the EMC and potential hazard levels.

PAINTED HOUSING FOR BUSBAR SYSTEM (ANY COLOR)
  • The housing of any type of model or rating Busbar can be painted in any colour as selected by the client in order to match the building or room aesthetics.
  • Polyester epoxy paint with a minimum of 75 micron thickness on the housing provides a superior strength against environmental conditions.
  • Similar requirements can be applied to our Cable tray system.
  • This process is done at EAE’s in-house facility as per QA/ QS procedures. Several steps regarding chemical surface preparation, acidic treatments for degreasing and applying the required coats of paint on the surface of metal sheets are adhered to.
